Presentation: Gas Fired Appliance Venting and Draft Control
Presentation Description:
Venting and Draft control of gas fired appliances can be problematic. In this presentation, Tim will provide an introduction into general appliance & venting listings, sizing formulas, and review some relevant codes. Tim will also discuss several solutions to venting issues as well as options to better the performance of your high-efficiency appliances. Finally, Tim will touch on options for combustion air options, limitations and solutions.
About The Presenter:
Tim McNulty
Tim has been in the venting industry for his entire professional career. Tim began his career as an applications engineer, designing draft control systems for boilers and water heaters as well as commercial and multi-family clothes dryer exhaust systems across the US and Canada. Tim started his own company with his business partner Thad Rohskopf in 2007 which provided web-based chimney design calculators to major vent manufacturers. In 2012 his company, RM Manifold Group, Inc began manufacturing draft control devices for the commercial and industrial appliance. Tim received his BSME from the University of Kansas and holds several patents in the venting industry.
